About Alonzo Williams
Having produced and supported R&B artist DOMO, Alonzo has made quite a name for himself in managing dancers and singers alike. From his recent work, we can tell he has a lot in store for 2016. He recently had the pleasure of fully choreographing the two routines for Grammy Nominated Artist of the Year: Jidenna. Check out the freshly released music videos: Knickers and Long Live The Chief. Jidenna is well known for his song, “Classic Man” and won Best New Artist at the Soul Train Awards. Alonzo’s credits also include being featured on America’s Best Dance Crew with his team Rhythm City, and choreographing for artists Tal and Sharaya J. He has also choreographed for the 2014 US Open, MTV’s MADE, and CW’s “The Next” for artist Frankie Z. His international tour credits include performing in countries such as China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
About George Jones Jr
Growing up in Arlington, VA, George Jones began dancing at a relatively late age. Once he graduated high school, he attended Marymount Manhattan College where he studied ballet, modern, and jazz for 4 years. In 2006 he received his Bachelors of Arts in Dance. In the fall of 2006 he auditoned for Rhapsody the Company (Artistic Director, Rhapsody James) and has been a proud member ever since. From 2006 until present day, George has had the honor of working with such gifted Choreographers as Flii Stylez, Fatima Robinson, Chuck Maldanado, Laurieann Gibson, Jaquel Knight, Jamal Sims, Flexx, Luther Brown and Rhapsody James just to name a few. He’s also been blessed to have appeared on such TV programs as, Vh1 Hip Hop Honors, Latin Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and danced for artists such as, Mc Lyte, Lil Kim, Nina Sky, Boa, and Avery Storm. He as also appeared in Britney Spear’s “3”, & “If You Seek Amy” video, Boa’s “Eat You Up” video, and Marcy Place & Daddy Yankee video “ Todos lo soy”. Currently you can see him the “The Circus Tour: Starring Britney Spears”. Which was directed by Jamie King.
George has been blessed by God with a talent, and feels as though a person should never stop growing because God gives you a starting point and expects you to use it to the best of your ability and expand on what he has given you. With that said growth is a main point of his teaching in class.
His class is a rigorous learning experience which, combined with an energetic and fun personalities, makes for a comfortable and motivational environment that allows you work to your full potential. He focuses on musicality and being inside of the music first and foremost. He then concentrates on the cleanliness of the movement, while allowing the students’ personal styles to emerge. George always brings his knowledge, experience and passion for dance to her students, and hopes they walk away with a knew and improved self worth and understanding of dance, music and themselves.
